Gas leak investigations and repairs
If you smell gas, follow the gas smell steps below: put out flames, do not use electrical switches or devices, open doors and windows, keep people away, turn off the gas only if it is safe to do so, and call your gas distributor (natural gas) or gas supplier (LPG) from a safe place, or 000 if there is fire or immediate danger. Once the area is safe, we can investigate to find the source of the leak and repair it.
Gas pipe repairs and replacements
Corroded, damaged or old gas pipework can leak or fail a safety check. We repair sections or replace pipework where needed.
Gas line upgrades and new installations
Adding an appliance, upgrading a hot water system or extending to the outdoors can require a larger or new gas line. We plan and install gas lines to suit.
Gas appliance connections
We connect gas appliances including hot water systems, heaters and outdoor gas points, and test the connection before leaving.
Gas cooktop and upright cooker connections
We install and connect gas cooktops and upright cookers, and check the supply is suitable for the appliance.
Gas compliance and safety-related work
Gas work needs to be done safely and to standard. All gas plumbing work is undertaken by appropriately licensed practitioners. A Victorian plumbing compliance certificate is provided where required under the applicable regulations.

Can you connect a new gas upright cooker?
Yes. We connect gas cookers and cooktops, check the gas supply is suitable and test the connection. Call or text with the appliance details.
How do I know if my gas pipes need repair or replacement?
Gas pipe does not need replacing just because it is old. Corrosion, damage, a smell of gas or a failed pressure test can indicate a problem. We inspect and test the installation, then explain whether repair or replacement is needed. If you smell gas, follow the gas smell steps first.

I can smell gas — what should I do?
Put out all flames and do not smoke or strike matches. Do not operate electrical switches or devices. If you are inside, open doors and windows and keep people away from the area. If it is safe to do so, turn off the gas at the meter (natural gas) or at the tank or cylinder (LPG). From a safe place, call your gas distributor if you have natural gas, or your gas supplier if you have LPG. Your distributor is shown on your gas bill. Natural gas emergency numbers listed by Energy Safe Victoria: AusNet Services 136 707, Australian Gas Networks 1800 427 532, Multinet Gas 132 691. For LPG, use the emergency number on your cylinder, tank or supplier’s documents. If there is a fire or immediate danger, call 000. Once the gas is isolated and it is safe, call us on 0439 070 101 to book the investigation and repair.
Do I need a licensed gas fitter for a new cooktop?
Yes — gas appliance installation legally requires a licensed gas fitter in Victoria, and it protects your insurance and warranty too.
Can you provide a compliance certificate?
Gas work is tested on completion, with a plumbing compliance certificate issued where legally required.
