Why can I smell sewage near my toilet?
A leaking pan connector is one cause, and it can also leave water around the suite. Others include a dry floor waste or a drain fault. In our Endeavour Hills job, a faulty pan connector caused both the smell and the water. We find the source before replacing anything.
Is my shower leak a plumbing problem or a tiling problem?
Damp patches near a shower can come from the mixer, wall connections, outlet pipework or the waste. We check the plumbing side. If the cause is tiling or waterproofing, we will say so.
When is it better to replace old pipework than keep patching it?
When a pipe keeps leaking in different places or is corroded along its length, renewing the run is usually the better outcome than repeated repairs. We inspect it and explain both options.
